What are the main innovations introduced by Ministerial Decree No. 133/2024 in the field of pleasure boating? They are outlined in this month’s contribution to the Assagenti Newsletter by Attorney Tommaso Pala, starting from the framework of the competent authorities and moving on to simplification measures, including those relating to crew recruitment procedures and crew disembarkation declarations, as well as economic incentives, and then addressing the age requirements for the nautical licence and the new rules on certifications and safety equipment. Also of great interest is the preview of the “Italian Passenger Yacht Code”, which is expected to be approved within six months of the entry into force of Ministerial Decree No. 133.
